#2 Megan Amis
Position: Guard

Height: 5'8
Year: 2011
Varsity: First Summer
College:

Quick Facts: Megan is a 4.0 student who is full of life.  She loves spending time with her family, church, school and sports.  She was one of the top freshman soccer players in the league and area.  She was a varsity starter this past season.  Megan has dreams of going and playing basketball or soccer at BYU.

Personal: Her parents are Jim and Kathi Amis.  She has a an older brother attending Riverside and starts for their football team.  He will be a senior next year.  Megan has two younger sisters. Paige, who will be in 8th grade and plays on our summer JV team, and her little sister Abby, who will follow in the footsteps of her sisters : )

Life as a Raven: Megan's first year within the Riverside program was her freshman year.  She played up on the JV team.  Her athleticism has pushed her to play Varsity basketball after just one year of pushing herself in hoops.  She has the speed, quickness, and physical build to defend nearly anyone.  With her work ethic, which is similar to that of Katie Grad, Megan will find success in basketball.

Future: As stated earlier, Megan dreams of playing for BYU.  That dream was to play soccer ... but has since changed.  Though she will put time and energy into basketball, you will see Megan playing some sport at the next level.

Summer Outlook: Look for Megan to continue to improve upon her fundamentals and basketball IQ.  Not having played the sport for that long, she has made more progress than most kids do in two years.  She is as tough as they come.  Megan will use her strengths (speed, quickness, toughness) to get into people on defense while striving to get better and better on her offense.  She has already perfected her shooting form and will certainly knock down shots.
