Personal: Taylor Wofford was born September 13, 1991
in Seattle, Washington. She is the daughter of Brent Wofford and Lori Stauffer. Taylor
has an older brother Devin, who also played varsity basketball for the boy’s team here at Auburn Riverside.
Taylor is a huge fan of Jordan shoes.
Life as a Raven: Taylor
was one of the first kids Coach Barrett worked with when he arrived at Auburn Riverside. She was in the
6th grade and part of the first team the Riverside feeder program put together. Taylor ended
up being point guard most of the time, sharing it with Kara Jenkins. Taylor is expected to grow a little
more. Her mother and father are tall and her brother Devin is 6’4. Taylor swung
last year to play the 2-guard on the JV team last season. She had a great summer, especially in the San
Diego tournament, where Riverside won brought home the championship.
Future:
Taylor has been a post this past season on the Varsity yet she
continues to work on her perimeter game. This team is loaded with guards, but Taylor can shoot the 3 and
penetrate the lane. Taylor will end up playing college basketball due to her heart and passion for the
game. She puts in the time in the off season and it will show this upcoming season.
2007-2008 Outlook:
Taylor has bigger expectations of herself this year.
With one year of varsity basketball and a summer under her belt, she will fight for minutes. Taylor
has the right attitude this Fall and is working towards getting better. She will be a contributor in winning
back to back state titles!
